Bloc Capital (“Bloc”, the “Company”, or “We”) was formed in 2018 and is engaged in hotel acquisitions, asset management and Development. Bloc intends to acquire, Finance and Develop hotel properties located in the Caribbean and South Florida.

Bloc will focus primarily on the major Caribbean markets with a secondary focus on Miami and South Florida opportunities. The Company may also invest in resort or destination markets in the Caribbean part of Latin America including markets like Belize.


We intend to focus on full-service hotel properties in the “upper upscale” and “luxury” segments of the lodging industry as defined by Smith Travel Research Inc. In addition, we may opportunistically seek to acquire branded upscale and/or select-service properties in our primary target markets.


We believe these investments can produce attractive risk-adjusted returns because we expect the following:

• the properties we purchase will benefit from recent and upcoming low additions to supply.

• business and leisure travel have been stable as the economy has slowly improved

• to acquire assets either unencumbered by management agreements, or with short life left on existing management agreements, thus allowing for repositioning and value creation.

• to utilize heavy asset management to enhance margins post-acquisition. 


We believe that the market environment will present a significant number of attractive investment opportunities in 2018-2019 and that our management team has the experience and expertise necessary to identify and acquire a high quality portfolio of hotel properties, and improve on the performance of the properties via aggressive, hands-on, and tailored asset management.

We believe that given our team’s past experience, we will be well-positioned to take advantage of attractive investment opportunities that we expect will be available in the Caribbean Luxury Hotel market, especially in 2018 and 2019.
